How to Install Lemon TV

Detailed step-by-step instructions for getting our open-source, ad-free video player running on your operating system.

Windows Setup Guide

Download the installer
Navigate to our Windows download page and download the latest `.exe` installer.

Run the executable
Locate `Lemon.TV_x64-setup.exe` in your Downloads folder and double click it. If Windows SmartScreen prompts "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

Finish installation
Follow the installation wizard. Once complete, you'll find Lemon TV in your Start Menu.

Choose your architecture
Go to the macOS download page. Select `aarch64` for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or `x64` for Intel Macs.

Extract the app
Double click the downloaded `.tar.gz` file. The Archive Utility will extract it and produce `Lemon TV.app`.

Move to Applications
Drag `Lemon TV.app` into your Applications folder.
4.
Bypass Gatekeeper
Because it's downloaded from the internet, you may need to Right-Click the app in Finder and select "Open" the very first time instead of double-clicking.

Download the AppImage
Head to the Linux download page and save the `.AppImage` file.

Make it executable
Open your terminal and run:
chmod +x Lemon.TV_*_amd64.AppImage

Run the app
Execute the file directly from the terminal or double click it in your file manager.

Download the APK
Open this website on your mobile device, go to the Android download page, and tap download.
2.
Grant install permissions
When opening the APK, Android will warn you about installing unknown apps. Go to Settings and enable "Allow from this source" for your browser.
3.
Install
Go back and complete the installation. You will now see the Lemon TV icon in your app drawer.
