1. Core Philosophy: Zero Telemetry
At Lemon TV, our business model is not based on advertising or data brokerage. Therefore, the Lemon TV application does not collect, transmit, or store any analytics or telemetry data regarding your usage patterns, the videos you watch, or your searches.
2. Automatic Updates
When you use the Lemon TV application, it may periodically check our release servers to determine if a new version is available. This request transmits your current version number and operating system to provide you with the correct update file. This data is logged temporarily by our server infrastructure for load balancing purposes and is routinely discarded.
3. Third-Party Connections
Lemon TV acts as a client that fetches video content from sources you dictate. When you access media, your IP address is exposed to the host server of that media. We do not proxy or anonymize these media connections unless you configure the app to do so through an external VPN. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of third-party media hosts.
4. Website Analytics
On this website (lemontv.xyz), we use privacy-respecting analytics (Umami) to understand aggregate traffic flows (e.g., how many people downloaded the Windows version vs macOS). This analytics tool does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information (PII), and anonymizes IP addresses.
5. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, in some cases, we may provide notice through the application.
